After four months of bargaining, and several more months in preparation, the College and CODAA bargaining teams have reached a tentative agreement on a four–year contract. We won improvements in this contract we were unable to achieve in the past and are proud to present you with an agreement for which we recommend ratification.
The Contract Highlights outline the improvements (and one loss) and include references to the sections in the actual proposed contract. We are currently proofing the final proposed contract and expect to post the full document shortly.
Now we need you – all active members – to turn out to vote for this contract. We will be holding informational sessions and voting during the week of In-Service to provide ample opportunity for all to vote.
If you believe, as we do, that we bargained the best contract possible in a fiscally conservative atmosphere, then show your support by voting to ratify.
Informational Sessions and Voting:
Monday, August 14th from 10 am – 7 pm (Room TBA)
Tuesday, August 15th from 10 am – 7 pm (Room TBA)
Wednesday, August 16th from 9 am – 1 pm
and at our Membership Meeting from 2pm – 4:30 pm (Rooms TBA)
NOTE: Fair Share members are not eligible to vote. If you are a Fair Share member, I encourage you to change your status to active so that you may vote on this contract. If you appreciate the improvements we worked hard to achieve on behalf of ALL members, then I hope you will show your appreciation by becoming an active member. The additional dues amount for active members is only $30 per year. If you would like to change your status or are uncertain of your status, contact our Membership Chair, Vicki Root-Wajda at [email protected].
