CALL FOR CANDIDATES FOR DELEGATE TO THE IEA ASSEMBLY
TO BE HELD IN ROSEMONT, IL
APRIL 14—16, 2016

Two delegates will be selected by an election to be held by mail.

Nominations must be in by November 13, (12pm) in the CODAA office, BIC 2418.

• Candidates must be an IEA-NEA member of CODAA
• Winners will represent CODAA members and our interests at the various plenaries and group sessions.
• Winner must make the commitment to go to Rosemont and participate.
• The delegate will report the activities and issues brought before the assembly to the CODAA Executive Board.

There is also a Minorities Representative position from the region.

There are funds available from the unit and from the region to help defray expenses.

Nomination Form 2015

CODAA hosted its Fall Membership Meeting on Wednesday, August 19th with more than 50 members in attendance. Information was provided on member’s benefits as well as the roles and responsibilities of CODAA Officers. The annual budget was presented and was unanimously approved.

The special guest speaker was Acting Interim President, Dr. Joseph Collins. Dr. Collins spoke about the important role part-time faculty have at the College. He said it was important that all College employees not lose sight of the excellent work we do each day for students despite the controversies and negative press of the past year. He assured everyone that our accreditation would remain intact, although he expected the Higher Learning Commission may issue some directives for improvement. However, he stressed that the academic integrity of the College was not in question. Dr. Collins also fielded several questions from members.

Official results of 2015 CODAA elections are below. All officers will serve a 1 year term starting July 1, 2015.

Highlights include:  Voting on the proposed CODAA By-laws (Note only active members may vote on the By-laws); Adjunct Faculty Support Deans Collins and Overstreet will present on BloomBoard, Classroom Observations, and Electronic Evaluations, as well as answer questions from you; Member benefits information.
